Dr. Walker attends the ACSI Public Policy & Advocacy Summit in Washington, D.C.
CCS Superintendent Dr. John Walker serves as the Kansas State Representative for all Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) accredited schools in Kansas. During the week of September 12, 2022, he joined other school leaders at the ACSI Public Policy & Advocacy Summit in Washington, D.C.
While there, Dr. Walker heard from and met with several prominent political and educational figures: Senator Ted Cruz (Texas), Lt. Governor Winsome Earle-Sears (Virginia), Senator Patricia Puertas Rucker (West Virginia), Representative Vicky Hartzler (Missouri), Senator James Lankford (Oklahoma), Gregory Baylor (Alliance of Defending Freedom), Dr. D. Michael Lindsay (President of Taylor University), and others.
He also had meetings with legislative assistants from the offices of Hon. Jerry Moran (U.S. Senator for Kansas), Hon. Tracey Mann (U.S. Representative for Kansas), and Hon. Roger Marshall (U.S. Senator for Kansas).
Dr. Walker had this to say, “I was extremely honored to advocate for all ACSI schools in the state of Kansas at our nation's capital. It was humbling to meet the men and women who sacrificially serve our country. I was able to visit many historical monuments, revisit our great constitution, and fellowship with other believers. We must remember to pray for the men and women who serve this wonderful country and also pray for the Lord to be glorified. What a joy and honor to represent Central Christian School and all of Kansas.”
