Director of Development

Central Christian School of Hutchinson, Kansas is accepting applications for a Director of Development. The position is a full time, and qualified applicants should have a bachelor's or master’s degree and at least three years of educational, advancement, and fundraising experience. Knowledge of nonprofits and the preschool through grade 12 marketplace is desired. Applicants should also be a Christian believer.

The Director of Development is responsible for leading the development and execution of the school’s fundraising efforts. In addition, this position will coordinate with other staff to develop marketing and communication materials that promote the values and mission of the school and oversee the major functions related to the school’s capital campaign. The Director of Development will cultivate and establish relationships with staff, governing board members, volunteers, donors, and the general community.

Secondary English Instructor

Central Christian School of Hutchinson, Kansas, accepts applications for a secondary school English teacher for the 2021–2022 school year. The position is full-time. Qualified applicants should have a B.A./B.S./undergraduate degree in education or English. Applicants should also be a Christian believer and be committed to teaching students from a Christian worldview.

In addition to base pay, the school compensates incrementally for experience and course work beyond a bachelor’s degree. A tuition discount is available to qualifying employees.

Literacy Specialist

Central Christian School of Hutchinson, Kansas, is accepting applications for a Literacy Specialist to work in our dyslexia program. The position may be full-time or part-time depending on the need for next year.

Qualified applicants should have a bachelor’s degree (preferably in education, but an exception
could be made for the right person who has a bachelor’s degree in a different field). The ideal candidate should be a Christian believer who has a strong desire to learn about dyslexia and to help students who struggle with reading. This position works in conjunction with the director of the dyslexia program under the supervision of the elementary principal. Teaching is delivered in one-on-one, or small group settings, with students from a variety of grades and instructional levels. This position is responsible for teaching Alphabetic Phonics, a structured literacy program for students who need extra help with reading. Training in Alphabetic Phonics will be provided for the right candidate which includes 2-weeks of classroom instruction through the Fundamental Learning Center during the summer.

MS and HS Math and HS Physics Instructor

Candidates should be able to teach middle and high school math including upper-level high school math and high school physics. The position is full-time. Qualified applicants should have a B.A./B.S./undergraduate degree in math/science education, science, or secondary education. Those with a master's degree in math would be given preference. Applicants should also be a Christian believer and be committed to teaching students from a Christian worldview.

We will provide training to meet KDHE licensing requirements. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older. Central Christian Preschool and Child Care Center is licensed by KDHE to care for children 2 ½ – 12 years of age.
