Preschool Employment Opportunities

Summer Staff

We are looking for individuals to join our Summer Camp team of teachers and staff. We will provide training to meet KDHE licensing requirements. Training begins in May and applicants must be 18 years of age or older. Job responsibilities include classroom setup, planning activities, and supervising children. Central Christian Preschool and Child Care Center is licensed by KDHE to care for children 1 – 12 years of age.

We focus on STEAM learning and activities in the summer. Summer Camp 2023 begins Wednesday, May 20, and ends Wednesday, August 9. Summer camp is open from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with various shifts available. Shifts can be from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or 12:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Our goal is to provide a safe, nurturing, Christ-centered environment where children have the opportunity to develop a love for Jesus Christ and others. We are looking for teachers and staff who will encourage healthy spiritual, intellectual, emotional, and social growth of the children in our facility.

Fall Preschool Staff

We are looking for individuals to join our team of teachers and staff. Experience in a child care center and certification are preferred but not required. We will provide training to meet KDHE licensing requirements. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older. Central Christian Preschool and Child Care Center is licensed by KDHE to care for children 1 – 6 years of age.

This position is part time. Typical shifts are 7:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. or 1:00–6:00 p.m., but this may be amendable. Central Christian Preschool and Child Care is open from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. We are looking for individuals to be in a classroom setting as well as work the front desk.

Director of Development

Central Christian School of Hutchinson, Kansas, is accepting applications for a director of development. Qualified applicants should have a bachelor's degree, but a master's degree is preferred. Applicants should also be a Christian believer and be committed to teaching students from a Christian worldview.

Under the supervision of the superintendent, the director of development is responsible for the development and execution of the school’s fundraising efforts including donor cultivation, annual fund, capital campaigns, major gifts, corporate and foundation grants, individual giving, public funds, special fundraising events, and legacy giving. In addition, the director of development will coordinate with the superintendent, the director of alumni association, and the director of admissions and marketing to develop marketing and communication materials that promote the values and mission of Central Christian School and keep donors and other friends of the school regularly informed of school updates, needs, and successes.

Band Instructor–Secondary

Central Christian School of Hutchinson, Kansas is accepting applications for a Secondary Band Instructor for the 2024–2025 school year. The position is part-time. Qualified applicants should have a B.A./B.S./undergraduate degree in music education. Applicants should also be a Christian believer and be committed to teaching students from a Christian worldview.

In addition to base pay, the school compensates incrementally for experience and course work beyond a bachelor’s degree. Tuition discounts are available to qualifying employees.

Activity Bus Drivers

Central Christian School of Hutchinson, Kansas, is accepting applications for bus drivers for the 2022–2023 school year. The positions are part-time. Qualified applicants should provide safe and efficient transportation for eligible students, enabling them to participate in the school's extracurricular programs to the extent possible. Buses hold up to 78 elementary-age students. Part-time means driving for field trips, mid-day school deliveries/dismissals, and other activities and events. This part-time job is during the school year and follows the school calendar.

Qualifications:

Must be between the ages of 25 and 65; high school diploma or equivalent preferred
Possess a current commercial driver’s license (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements (transferrable to Kansas) or be capable of obtaining a Kansas CDL with P & S endorsements. CCS will pay for CDL training if necessary
Clean driving record
Successfully pass U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Drug/Alcohol Testing and Physical Examination
Successfully pass a background investigation by the Kansas Law Enforcement Division
