Literacy Specialists
Central Christian School of Hutchinson, Kansas, is accepting applications for literacy specialists for the 2025–2026 school year beginning in August. The positions are full-time. Qualified applicants should have a bachelor's degree (preferably in education, but an exception could be made for the right person who has a bachelor's degree in a different field).
The ideal candidate should be a Christian believer who has a strong desire to learn about dyslexia and to help students who struggle with reading. This position works in conjunction with the director of the dyslexia program under the supervision of the elementary principal.
Teaching is delivered in one-on-one or small group settings, with students from differing grade levels and instructional levels. This position is responsible for teaching Alphabetic Phonics, a structured literacy program for students who need extra help with reading. Alphabetic Phonics training will be provided for the right candidate which includes two weeks of classroom instruction, during the summer, through the Fundamental Learning Center.

Preschool and Child Care Teachers and Staff
We are looking for individuals to join our team of teachers and staff at both of our child care locations (Hutchinson and Buhler). Experience in a child care center and certification are preferred but not required. We will provide training to meet KDHE licensing requirements. Applicants must be at least 18 years old. Central Christian Preschool and Child Care Center is licensed by KDHE to care for children six weeks – 5 years old.
Toddler Teachers (12 months to 2½ years)
Hiring for four part time toddler teachers - 12-month, hourly positions
Positions must be lead-teacher qualified
Morning and Afternoon positions
Lead teachers are responsible for planning developmentally appropriate learning activities and general child care for children 12 months to 2½ years old.
Assistant Teachers
Hiring for four part time assistant teachers - 12-month, hourly positions
Positions must be at least 16 years of age
Morning (8:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m.) and Afternoon (12:30–ratio) positions
Flexible Support Staff
This role provides assistance across various classrooms and areas within the Early Education Center as needed. The individual in this room needs to be dependable and adaptable.
Full-time, 12-month, hourly position (8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. or flexible as needed)
Must be lead teacher qualified and complete food safety training
Provide classroom coverage in the absence of regular staff
Assist with food prep and distribution
Assist teachers and admin with classroom, office tasks, and other duties as assigned
After School Care
Central Christian School of Hutchinson, Kansas, is accepting applications for Cougar Club after school care for the 2025–2026 school year beginning in August. The position is part time. Qualified applicants should be at least 18 years old.
Cougar Club staff will devote time and support to ensure that students in Grades K–6 are safe, happy, and cared for in a positive setting and provide an environment which is conducive to our students' safety, health, and welfare. This staff member will work under the supervision of the elementary principal.
Caregivers will follow a daily routine to achieve consistency ensuring students have time to relax and build friendships while also enjoying a snack, completing homework, recess, and other activities. This person must be able to work with students from differing grade levels and instructional levels.
Cougar Club is open on the days that CCS has a full day of school. It begins at 3:30 p.m. and ends at 6:00 p.m. Cougar Club is not open on early dismissal days.

Activity Bus Drivers
Central Christian School of Hutchinson, Kansas, is accepting applications for bus drivers for the 2025–2026 school year. The positions are part time. Qualified applicants should provide safe and efficient transportation for eligible students, enabling them to participate in the school's extracurricular programs to the extent possible. Buses hold up to 78 elementary-age students. Part time means driving for field trips, mid-day school deliveries/dismissals, and other activities and events. This part-time job is during the school year and follows the school calendar.
Qualifications:
Must be between the ages of 25 and 65; high school diploma or equivalent preferred
Possess a current commercial driver’s license (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements (transferrable to Kansas) or be capable of obtaining a Kansas CDL with P & S endorsements. CCS will pay for CDL training if necessary
Clean driving record
Successfully pass U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Drug/Alcohol Testing and Physical Examination
Successfully pass a background investigation by the Kansas Law Enforcement Division
