Early Education School and Child Care Teachers and Staff

We are looking for individuals to join our team of teachers and staff at both of our early education school/child care locations (Hutchinson and Buhler). Experience in a child care center and certification are preferred but not required. We will provide training to meet Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) licensing requirements. Central Christian is licensed by KDHE to care for children six weeks – 6 years old.

Toddler Teachers (12 months to 2½ years)

  • Hiring four part-time toddler teachers for 12-month, hourly positions

    • Must be lead-teacher qualified

    • Morning and afternoon positions

    • Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

  • Lead teachers are responsible for planning developmentally appropriate learning activities and general child care for children 12 months to 2½ years old.

Assistant Teachers

  • Hiring four part-time assistant teachers for 12-month, hourly positions

    • Must be at least 16 years old

    • Morning (8:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m.) and/or afternoon (12:30–ratio) positions

Flexible Support Staff

This role provides assistance across various classrooms and areas within the early education school as needed. This staff person needs to be dependable and adaptable.

  • Full-time, 12-month, hourly position (8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. or flexible hours as needed)

  • Must be lead-teacher qualified and complete food safety training

  • Provides classroom coverage in the absence of regular staff

  • Assists with food prep, distribution, and clean up

  • Assists teachers and administration within classrooms, with office tasks, and with other duties as assigned

Central Christian Child Care at Buhler Lead & Assistant Teachers

We are looking for individuals to join our team of teachers at our Buhler location. Experience in a child care center and certification are preferred, but not required. Lead Teachers

  • Hiring lead teachers for 12-month, hourly positions

    • Must be lead teacher qualified

    • 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, but can be flexible for the right person.

Assistant Teachers

  • Hiring assistant teachers for 12-month, hourly positions

    • Applicants must be at least 16 years old.

    • 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, but can be flexible for the right person.

    • Assist lead teacher in various tasks: changing diapers, feeding, cleaning, etc.

After School Care

Central Christian School of Hutchinson, Kansas, is accepting applications for Cougar Club after school care for the 2025–2026 school year beginning in August. The position is part time. Qualified applicants should be at least 18 years old.

Cougar Club staff will devote time and support to ensure that students in Grades K–6 are safe, happy, and cared for in a positive setting and provide an environment which is conducive to our students' safety, health, and welfare. This staff member will work under the supervision of the elementary principal.

Caregivers will follow a daily routine to achieve consistency ensuring students have time to relax and build friendships while also enjoying a snack, completing homework, recess, and other activities. This person must be able to work with students from differing grade levels and instructional levels.

Cougar Club is open on the days that CCS has a full day of school. It begins at 3:30 p.m. and ends at 6:00 p.m. Cougar Club is not open on early dismissal days.

Central Christian School is a preschool through Grade 12 Christian school of about 200 students partnering with families to provide students with a Christ-centered education.

Activity Bus Drivers

Central Christian is accepting applications for bus drivers for the 2025–2026 school year. The positions are part time. Qualified applicants should provide safe and efficient transportation for eligible students, enabling them to participate in the school's extracurricular programs to the extent possible. Buses hold up to 78 elementary-age students. Part time means driving for field trips, mid-day school deliveries/dismissals, and other activities and events. This part-time job is during the school year and follows the school calendar. 

 Qualifications: 

  • Must be between the ages of 25 and 65; high school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Possess a current commercial driver’s license (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements (transferrable to Kansas) or be capable of obtaining a Kansas CDL with P and S endorsements. CCS will pay for CDL training if necessary.

  • Clean driving record

  • Successfully pass U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Drug/Alcohol Testing and Physical Examination

  • Successfully pass a background investigation by the Kansas Law Enforcement Division
