At Central Christian, it is our goal to develop academically prepared students through a Christ-centered education and to help them develop a biblical worldview. The Bible and the teachings of Jesus Christ are woven into the total educational program through grade level curriculum. Most, but not all, of our curriculum is from biblical worldview publishers. The biblical worldview carries throughout our elective program as well as our athletic teams and other extracurricular activities.
Our faculty provides a nurturing environment for students while encouraging them toward our ultimate goal, the yielding of their lives to God and growth in their relationship with Jesus Christ.

Along with the Kansas Board of Regents Kansas Scholar’s Curriculum, we provide the opportunity for our high school students to complete up to 36 hours of dual credit courses through Sterling College. Online classes through Sterling College are also available. Another option is the Hutchinson Career and Technical Education Academy through Hutchinson High School.
Secondary chapel is held weekly at CCS. It includes a time of praise and worship led by our students and a biblically-based teaching time from Campus Pastor Mr. Chad Eigsti. Each secondary class organizes and leads a chapel once during the school year, and Impact Days are held annually in which a special guest speaker biblically challenges our students.
Activities and events students enjoy during the school year include the following:
Back-to-school high school retreat
Football Jamboree and Moonlight Mile
Kansas State High School Activities Association athletics and scholars bowl
(football, volleyball, cross country, girls and boys basketball, cheerleading, golf, track
and field, and co-op soccer)
Student Council (STUCO) for high school students
Student led discipleship groups
Alumni & Reunion Weekend
Stewardship Dinner fundraiser in the fall
Spirit Week and Homecoming
Cancer awareness night
School music production
Music trip
Vocal and instrumental music concerts
CCS art shows
Winter formal
Junior-Senior Banquet (JSB)
Senior class trip
Class parties

Because we value the parent-school partnership in each student’s education, we hold parent-teacher conferences once a year for secondary students, usually in October. To accommodate working families, we offer evening conferences as well as daytime conferences. Regular communication happens frequently during the school year as well.
Are you interested in middle school or high school at Central Christian? We encourage you to come and check us out. Call the school office at 620-663-2174 to set up a time, and we’ll look forward to seeing you.
