Central Christian School is preparing to welcome back alumni, families, and friends for our annual Alumni & Friends Weekend. The celebration will take place Friday, September 26, and Saturday, September 27, and will have activities for all ages.
Friday Events
The weekend kicks off bright and early on Friday with the Cougar Classic Golf Tournament at Willowbrook Golf Course. Teams of four will compete in a scramble format, with registration at 8:30 a.m. and a shotgun start at 9:00 a.m. Lunch will be provided for all participants. Later that morning, at 9:45 a.m., the spotlight will shine on the elementary students as they celebrate CCS's Grandparents Day with their grandparents. Guests will enjoy a special presentation in the gymnasium, followed by classroom visits and activities. Our early education school children will also be welcoming grandparents that day; classroom-specific details will be provided to EES families.
Friday evening brings even more opportunities for fun and fellowship on campus. From 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., families can enjoy inflatables, yard games, and tours of the new early education school. The 8th grade class will have a pulled pork meal and concessions available to purchase, and Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF) will be providing free desserts.
At 7:00 p.m., the Cougars football team will take the field for a highly anticipated game against the Fairfield Falcons. Halftime festivities will include recognition of the Alum of the Year and special recognition of alumni classes by decade.
Saturday Events
On Saturday, the excitement continues with the craft fair from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and a chili feed from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Our PTF will be hosting a bake sale in the gym during the craft fair. Plan to join us for a time full of good food and shopping for all ages. Visitors can also take tours of the new Jay & Connie Schrock Family Early Education School at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Reunions for alumni will be happening throughout the weekend.
