We are thrilled to announce that 2025 CCS graduate Nathan Reed has been named a National Merit Finalist and Scholarship Recipient, placing in the top 2,500 students out of more than 15,000 finalists nationwide!
Recipients are selected based on the strength of their application, including academic record, test scores, extracurricular activities, essay, and recommendations.
Nathan’s accomplishments are truly remarkable:
📚 Perfect 4.0 GPA
🧠 Scored a 35 on the ACT
🏆 Captain of the 2024 State Champion Scholars Bowl Team & 2025 Class 1A Boys Golf State Championship team member
He has been awarded a $2,500 National Merit Scholarship by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation and will be attending the University of Tulsa next fall on a full-ride scholarship!

Our school office will be closed from Monday, June 30, through Friday, July 11, for annual maintenance, cleaning, and an office remodel to better suit the growing needs of the school and to better support our CCS community!

Earlier this year, a community youth art contest was held as part of Hutchinson Regional Medical Center's 50th Anniversary Celebration. They asked participants to draw, paint, or create anything that tells the story of our hospital, doctors, or nurses. Students' art was entered into three age groups, and two of the three winners were from CCS!
Senior Adelaide Clobes won the 13–18 age group, and second grader Blakelee Armbruster won the 3–7 age group. We are so extremely proud of you both and encourage you to keep sharing your God-given talents with others. Awesome job!
Back in April, third grade student Laurell Ropp won first place in the Reno County Farm Bureau Safety Poster Contest. Her poster went on to be judged at the state level competition, and earlier this month, she was notified that she placed third in state for her age group! Way to go, Laurell.
