Not only did Mrs. Hayden take several pieces of our students’ artwork to be judged, but she also entered her beautifully hand-painted and designed Governor’s Cookie Jar, filled with a variety of cookies, and it won 2nd place!

We are so proud of our students and Mrs. Hayden for representing CCS with excellence in the arts!

We are so grateful for updated privacy and support panels on our science room tables. We give a big thank you to Hardwood Millwork in Burrton for their generous donation of plywood and to Randy Walter for his time and labor to put them together. Because of their support, our students will have an even better space to explore, discover, and learn. 💚🐾

What an incredible night at Kansas Bible Camp with our high school students!

From wild rounds of games like Java Java Can Can, Titanic, and 9-Square, to powerful moments of worship and devotion, the night was packed with fun, faith, and fellowship.

🎓 Earn College Credit in High School!

We’re excited to continue our partnership with Sterling College to offer our sophomore, junior, and senior students valuable dual-credit courses! Thursday, August 21, beginning at 6:30 p.m. we will have an information session in the commons.

💡 Why dual credit?

✔ Earn both high school and college credit at the same time.

✔ Experience college-level learning with the support of CCS instructors.

✔ Get a head start on your degree.

This is an amazing opportunity for our students to challenge themselves academically while preparing for success in college and beyond.

The Cougars cheer squad attended a two-day camp in Sterling this summer. They were able to bond as a team, improve technique in cheers, and learn some impressive stunts!

At the end of each day a spirit stick was awarded to the girl who showed the most spirit and enthusiasm. The two well-deserving recipients were Rosey Lewis and Ava Woosley.

A camp all-star was also selected. The All-Star Award goes to a cheerleader who shows excellence in all areas of cheer and demonstrates great leadership skills. Sophie Graham was selected as the camp all-star!

Coach Shana Walter said, "I am very proud of this squad's progress. The girls can't wait to lead the fans in cheering on our Cougars this season!"

Plan to attend our CCS Back-to-School Night on Monday, August 11, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The evening will begin with a Looking Forward message from Dr. Walker in the commons, and then the school will be open for students and parents. Please enter through the main doors.
