Our high school choir sang at the KSHSAA State Large Ensemble Festival in Buhler last week.

As the only Class 1A school performing at that festival, they represented CCS with excellence and purpose. We are excited to share that they received I ratings from all three judges.

Our high school choir will travel to Branson, Missouri, this week where they will open for the The Haygoods show on Thursday, April 23. The choir recently shared a dress rehearsal performance with our school.

As they prepare to go, we invite you to pray for safe travels as they use vocal music to share the hope of the Gospel.

We are excited to see how God will use them in this opportunity.

This week, our first graders had the joy of learning from Mr. Colyer Wingfield, a student teacher from Emmaus University in Dubuque, Iowa.

He led an exciting, hands-on weather unit where our students explored clouds, storms, and forecasts. On the final day, they became real meteorologists, presenting their very own weather reports complete with sunny predictions, storm warnings, and plenty of big smiles! 🎤📺

During their class trip to Colorado, our high school seniors spent a day at Camp Elim serving through manual labor in the beautiful Pike National Forest. The group split into teams and worked building disc golf baskets by digging trenches, setting heavy railroad ties, and cutting rebar.

Some of the boys didn’t just move the materials, they carried railroad ties down to the shop so they could cut rebar to the right size. Those ties were extremely heavy, and it took serious strength, teamwork, and determination to get the job done!

From swinging sledgehammers to hauling materials and digging drainage trenches, our students showed perseverance and grit. Another group worked hard clearing pine needles away from cabins and buildings, helping to keep the camp safe and making it ready for guests.

Camp Elim staff treated everyone to a delicious lunch, a well-earned reward after a full morning of service!

"And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him." Colossians 3:17

Our talented first graders became circus stars last week! They planned, prepared, and performed with creativity and confidence, bringing laughter and excitement to every corner of the CCS First Grade Circus.

With clowns, animal acts, unique talents, and imaginative performances, these students captured the audience’s hearts. It was incredible to see their teamwork, enthusiasm, and joy on full display. 🌟

We extend huge thank yous to our first grade teacher, Mrs. Penner, for guiding the students, the seniors who participated in the show and behind the scenes, and to all the families who cheered them on. The spotlight was on our first graders, and they truly shined!

Today we celebrate the victory of our Savior, Jesus Christ, who conquered sin and death and offers us new life through Him. The empty tomb is a powerful reminder that hope is alive, grace is abundant, and love has already won.

May this Easter fill your heart with peace and a renewed faith in the One who has overcome the world.

PTF Birthday Spotlight
This season was never just about the scoreboard. It was about who these teams chose to be every time they stepped on the court and how they reflected Christ in the way they played.

Our high school girls battled through an incredible run and finished 4th at State with a 25–4 record. Their journey showed a deep trust in each other, shaping how they competed and how they cared for the people around them.

The boys built on that same foundation and finished the season as Sub-State champions while earning back-to-back trips to State. They continued to grow as a team, competed with purpose, and desired to honor God in every moment.
