Our high school retreat at Kansas Bible Camp was a meaningful time of stepping away from the busyness of everyday life and focusing on our relationship with God.
Students enjoyed worship, encouraging messages, and time to reflect on their faith. Life group dinners created space for meaningful conversations and deeper friendships, followed by games and plenty of laughter.
Even the rain couldn’t dampen the fun! We’re grateful for the memories made and for the opportunity our students had to grow in their faith while strengthening their connections with one another.

🏃 Second grade worked hard in phys ed learning dynamic stretches such as Super Marios before they began the rest of their day!
🎶 Fifth graders were introduced to musical instrument families and began instrument testing.
📓Secondary students spent the day learning new routines, meeting new students, reconnecting with friends, and settling into a new year of learning.
We are thankful for the opportunity to begin another year of educating, equipping, and edifying students to exalt the name of Jesus Christ. We are looking forward to all that God has in store for this school year!

Heavenly Father, this morning we pause with grateful hearts as we begin another school year. Thank You for the privilege of Christian education and for the opportunity to partner together in shaping hearts and minds for Your glory.
We lift up every student who walks through our doors today. Calm anxious hearts, replace uncertainty with confidence, and remind each child that they are deeply loved by You. Give them a desire to learn, to grow in wisdom, and to reflect the character of Christ in their words and actions.
We pray for our parents and families as they adjust to back-to-school routines and schedules. Fill their homes with Your peace. Strengthen the partnership between home and school so that together we may raise children who know, love, and serve You.
We also pray for our faculty and staff. Grant them wisdom for every decision, patience in every circumstance, and strength for each day. May they teach with excellence, lead with compassion, and faithfully point every student toward You. Let their lives be a testimony of Your grace and truth.
Lord, protect our school. Watch over every classroom, playground, practice, and conversation.
As we begin this year, help us remember that our greatest goal is not simply academic success, but faithfulness to You. May every lesson, every friendship, every challenge, and every victory draw us closer to Christ.

This week we're featuring Harold Kroeker, a 1957 graduate.
After graduation, Harold dedicated 32 years to education, including 30 years as a middle school science teacher. He also coached softball, basketball, and track at Obee School, Union Valley, and Prairie Hills before retiring in 1994.
Today, Harold remains a faithful part of the CCS family. He is a regular at our Alumni & Friends Coffee gatherings, enjoys spending time with his three children, grandchildren, and his great-grandchildren, and has shared 65 years of marriage with his wife, Jane. When he's not with family, you'll often find him reading a good book or tending his flower garden each summer.
Stories like Harold's remind us that the relationships formed through Christian education continue to make an impact for generations.
We hope you'll join us for Alumni & Friends Weekend on September 18–19 as we reconnect, celebrate, and create new memories together. We can't wait to see you there!

Our Stewardship Dinner's guest speaker, Rick Green, is a former Texas state representative, a national speaker, and a radio host dedicated to helping Americans better understand the Constitution and the foundations of civic life. He co-hosts the nationally syndicated The Wall Builders Show and is a host of At The Core on American Family Radio, bringing historical insight and practical application to today’s conversations.
Rick is also the founder of Patriot Academy, a leadership training program that has equipped thousands of citizens across the country to engage thoughtfully and faithfully in their communities. Through his teaching, writing, and media work, he has spent decades helping people connect biblical principles, American history, and responsible citizenship.
We are honored to welcome him as our featured speaker for this year’s annual fundraiser, and we hope you will plan to join us on Saturday, November 14.
